LAN connection flow

  1. Camera connects to laptop: Professional camera feeds live video to the laptop running Two-Way Broadcaster via USB or HDMI capture card.
  2. Laptop connects to router: Ethernet cable connects the broadcaster laptop to the WiFi 6 router for stable, high-speed data transmission.
  3. Router connects to access point: Additional access points extend WiFi coverage throughout the venue for larger events.
  4. Access point broadcasts to smartphones: All attendee smartphones running VCNT connect wirelessly to receive the live stream within the LAN.

Note: This entire setup operates offline within your local area network — no internet required!

WiFi 6 routers

  • TP-Link Archer AX73 — Dual-band WiFi 6, 5400 Mbps, ideal for medium to large venues.
  • TP-Link Archer AX90 — Tri-band WiFi 6, 6600 Mbps for high-density environments.
  • Huawei AX3 Pro — Affordable WiFi 6+ router with excellent LAN performance.

Access points

  • Ubiquiti U6 Pro — Professional WiFi 6 AP with PoE for enterprise deployments.
  • Ubiquiti U6 Lite — Compact WiFi 6 AP perfect for classrooms and meeting rooms.
  • TP-Link Omada EAP660 HD — High-density WiFi 6 AP with 2.5G ethernet port.

Ethernet cables

  • Cat6 cables — Up to 10 Gbps at distances up to 55 meters, recommended for most installations.
  • Cat6a cables — Enhanced shielding for 10 Gbps at full 100-meter distances in high-interference environments.
  • Use reputable brands like Monoprice, Cable Matters, or certified TP-Link cables.

Note: These WiFi 6 devices provide the optimal balance of performance, reliability, and cost for LAN-based broadcasting. Avoid WiFi 7 for now as the standard is still evolving and may not provide significant benefits for local network streaming.
